KiKiMedia:SonicAdventure DC US manual.pdf[1] (キキ)Media:SonicAdventure DC JP manual.pdf[2] is a monkey robot first seen in Sonic Adventure. This robot draws inspiration from the earlier Coconuts Badnik.

Dr. Eggman built Kikis with the ability to drive, giving rise to two variants of the robot in Sonic Adventure: Kart Kiki and Cop Speeder.

Game appearances

Sonic Adventure

A Kiki in Twinkle Park.

Kikis are are found in high places or on the ground. It iddles about either watching the scenary if in high places, or scratching its head every now and then if on the ground. The ones on trees and some on the ground always carry bombs. It will snicker while jumping and doing sommersaults excitedly if the attack is successful. Some bombs might explode right away or after a while, allowing a character to pick them up and throw them at Badniks to destroy them. There are some who linger on the ground and can run slightly away from a character if spotted, or they will try and hurt them by coming close.

Kikis can be found in the following Action Stages:

Character Stage
Sonic Emerald Coast, Twinkle Park, Red Mountain
Knuckles Red Mountain
Amy Twinkle Park, Hot Shelter
Big Emerald Coast, Twinkle Park, Hot Shelter
E-102 Emerald Coast, Red Mountain, Hot Shelter

There are also two Kikis in cages out in the Adventure Fields, for Sonic, Knuckles and Gamma's stories. Sonic can destroy them by using the Light Speed Attack thanks to the Ancient Light upgrade, while Knuckles destroys them by using the Shovel Claw to dig up a self-destruct switch to...throw at the cage, and Gamma can simply shoot the cages. Doing this is necessary to open the entrance to Red Mountain.

Sonic Adventure 2

A Kiki in Egg Quarters.

Kikis in Sonic Adventure 2 display two kinds of behaviour. One version that jumps on one foot and that can throw bombs and a second which only rotates on their place and jumps, and which carries none. The bombs can either be small or big, but they will flash intermitently more and more quickly until they explode. These are still pickable and can destroy enemy targets just like in Sonic Adventure. Additionally, these bombs destroy containers or cages and fizzle Omochao. The Kiki awards 100 points and an animal when destroyed.

Kikis are again found in the following Action Stages:

Character Stage
Tails Hidden Base
Rouge Egg Quarters

Sonic Advance series

In their 2D outings, Kikis mimic much more closely the behaviour of their Coconuts predecessors, being confined to trees hurling nut-based explosives. In Sonic Advance, they show up in Neo Green Hill Zone, while in Sonic Advance 2 they appear in Leaf Forest.

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games

After being absent from the series for several years, Kiki makes a return in the Adventure Tour mode in the Nintendo DS version of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games, in which it ruins a patch of flowers until Daisy beats it in a snowball fight. After this, Kiki opens a gate and retreats to get repaired.

Kikis also appear in certain mini games, being the Sonic equivalent to Goombas from the Mario series.

Sonic Generations (Nintendo 3DS)

Kikis in Emerald Coast.

Kikis return again in the Nintendo 3DS version of Sonic Generations where they can be found in Emerald Coast again. In gameplay, they can be found either standing in one place or climbing on palm trees. When Sonic approaches them, the Kikis will start throwing bombs at him. A Homing Attack can easily take them out.
