We've managed to restore 99% of our file loss earlier in the year, but it's now THE FINAL COUNTDOWN. Visit the wiki file request topic to help make Sonic Retro better than ever.

Kiki

From Sonic Retro

Kiki artwork, as seen in Sonic Adventure.

The KiKi (キキ) is a monkey robot inspired by Coconuts, found in Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Advance and Sonic Advance 2. Some have the same behavior as Coconuts, but launch bombs rather than coconuts, when approached by the player. The explosives don't necessarily explode right away, so watch out; avoid touching these bombs and jump on this badnik to defeat it!

Sonic Adventure

A Kiki in Emerald Coast.

Also known as E-01 Baby Kiki, they are found in high places or on the ground. It iddles about either watching the scenary if in high places, or scratching its head every now and then if on the ground. The ones on trees and some on the ground always carry bombs. It will snicker while jumping and doing sommersaults excitedly if the attack is succesfull. Some bombs might explode right away or after awhile, allowing a character to pick them up and throw them at badniks to destroy them. There are some who linger on the ground and can run slightly away from a character if spotted, or they will try and hurt them by coming close.

Character Stage
Sonic Emerald Coast, Twinkle Park, Red Mountain
Knuckles Red Mountain
Amy Twinkle Park, Hot Shelter
Big Emerald Coast, Twinkle Park, Hot Shelter
E-102 Emerald Coast, Red Mountain, Hot Shelter

There are also Kikis that are able to drive karts in Twinkle Park and they're called Kart Kiki. The Cop Speeder seems to be driven by monkeys as well, but they don't seem to be Kikis.

There are also two Kikis in cages, for both Sonic and Knuckles stories. The first is destroyed by using Light Speed Attack thanks to the Ancient Light upgrade, while the second is destroyed by using the Shovel Claw to dig up a self-destruct switch that destroys the Kiki.

Sonic Adventure 2

A Kiki in Egg Quarters.

Also known as E-20 Kiki, they are found lingering in high places or on the ground. There are two types of Kikis, one that jumps on one foot and that can throw bombs and a second which only rotates on their place and jumps, and which carries none. The bombs can either be small or big, but they will flash intermitently more and more quickly until they explode. These are still pickable and can destroy enemy targets just like in Sonic Adventure and additionally, destroy containers or cages and fizzle Omochao. The Kiki awards 100 points when destroyed.

Character Stage
Tails Hidden Base
Rouge Egg Quarters

Sonic Advance

Kikis show up in Neo Green Hill Zone, having the same behaviour of going up and down a tree as Coconuts.

Sonic Advance 2

Kikis show up in Leaf Forest, having the same behaviour of going up and down a tree as Coconuts and like their predecessor in Sonic Advance.
