The Knight Pawn is an enemy robot that has his first appearance in Sonic Rush at the Water Palace. They are variations of Egg Pawns, but look like black knights of the medieval age, because they carry themselves with spears and knight helmets. When they see Sonic or Blaze, they charge at them. When destroyed, they will release an Animal Friend.
Knight Pawns return in 3DS version of Sonic Generations at the same stage with updated design, but with the same attack pattern as in Sonic Rush. They do not contain Animal Friends when destroyed.
