Sonic Underground is an animated television series based on Sonic the Hedgehog. It was produced by DiC Entertainment and its French subsidiary, Les Studios Tex and French television network TF1, originally airing on the TF1 channel in 1999. Sonic Underground was DiC's third Sonic cartoon, following the 1993 shows Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic the Hedgehog, but was established as an entirely separate series.
Sonic Underground features Sonic the Hedgehog and his siblings Sonia and Manic attempting to find their mother, Queen Aleena Hedgehog and stop the tyrannical Dr. Robotnik.
