Sonic Adventure - NPC Script (Amy)

From Sonic Retro

[Upon first control]
Station Square, Sunset
City Hall

Statue Girl strolling around perimeter (She will always appear in City Hall and her script will stay the same, however, the script is different for each player character. To prevent redundancy she won't be listed again for the rest of this article.) :

That sure fooled me!

That's a statue in front
of the Burger Shop.

That would scare the
stuffing outta me at night!

Shy businesswoman, inside the Burger Shop, standing towards the right side:

Well, I'm in the shop now...

But, what should I say to him?

I just don't know what to do!

Male Burger Shop worker:

What happened to you?

It looked like somebody
was chasing you...

Old businessman walking around perimeter:

Who would've thought a huge
object like that could fly...

I know... let's pretend we
didn't see it... right?

Businessman walking around perimeter:

That weird robot was from
Robotnik's flying ship...

And just what are the
police doing about this?

Owner of antique shop:

Come on in, Amy.

Make yourself at home.

Station Area

Businesswoman strolling around perimeter:

Oh, it's you, Amy.
How are you?

Hey, I saw Sonic.
You should look for him.

Newsstand Saleswoman:

Extra! Extra!

Huge flying object is heading
for Station Square!

No damage to the city yet,
but residents are panicking.

An investigation's under way,
and rumor has it

that Dr. Robotnik is
responsible.

How terrible!

Purple girl, right of train station's entrance:

Hey, Amy! I saw Sonic.

I think he went into the
hotel.

The two station workers standing in front of the train station's entrance.

Left:
We'll fight 'til we drop!

Right:
Oh, are you a customer?

We're on strike.

We're protesting in order
to improve our working

conditions.

It may be a long fight,
that's for sure.

Mr. Know-It-All, near the hotel, on the center grass:

I'm Mr. Know-It-All.
Here's a tip.

You have a hammer, right?

But it's not a very
powerful weapon,

so it may not be much use
against powerful enemies.

But you probably already
knew that, right?

Hotel
Hotel Manager:

Sonic?

I saw him heading toward
the casino.

Spiffy and Hat Woman standing by each other by the right elevator:

Hat Woman (left):
Hey, don't bother me.
I'm really happy now.

Spiffy:
What, you want to go on
a date?

You're gonna have to wait
your turn. Ha ha ha!

Pool Area

Hat woman, at the farthest corner away from the pool/hotel entrance:

Wow, what a beautiful pool!

But it's such a hassle
getting into a bathing suit.

You understand, don't you?

Casino Area
[going to the Casino Area triggers a cutscene of Amy encountering Sonic]

Old businessman walking around perimeter:

Hi, Amy.
Are you walkin' around too?

Wanna go grab a soda sometime?

Mother and Son standing beside the station's back stairway

Mother:
Oh no! I tend to wander
this way at sunset.

It's not my fault.

My feet seem to have a
mind of their own.

Son:
My mom wandered into the
casino again...

Station worker in front of station's back stairway:

We'll fight 'til we drop!

... But I wouldn't want to
lose my job over it.

Hotel
Hotel Manager:

Did you meet Sonic?

Oh, that's great.

So why don't you go to
Twinkle Park together?

There's a special going on
right now for couples.

Spiffy and Hat Woman standing by each other by the right elevator:

[both Hat Woman and Spiffy say same as previous]

Pool Area

Hat woman, at the farthest corner away from the pool/hotel entrance:

What do you think? Should
I buy a swimming suit?

I'd better make a decision.
It's getting late.

Station Area

Mr. Know-It-All, near the hotel, on the center grass:

[same as previous]

The two station workers standing in front of the train station's entrance

[both say same as previous]

Purple girl, right of train station's entrance:

I'm waiting for my dad to
come home,

but the trains are on
strike...

So how can he get home...?

Hipster strolling around perimeter:

Hey Amy!

You wanna hit Twinkle Park
with me?

They've got this special
event for cute couples.

Businesswoman strolling around perimeter:

Amy! Did you see Sonic?

I just saw him
in front of Twinkle Park.

Newsstand Saleswoman:

[same as previous]

City Hall Area

Businessman walking around perimeter:

[same as previous]

Old businessman walking around perimeter:

Well, Sonic came back
  to help us.

He'll take care of Robotnik,
just like he always does.

Shy businesswoman, inside the Burger Shop, standing towards the right side:

What... Y-you too?

Keep away from him!
I saw him first!

Male Burger Shop worker:

Hi... Oh...

Sorry, but I feel like
somebody's staring at me...

Like when that girl came here.

Owner of antique shop:

Hi, Amy. You look busy.

Do you have time to sit and talk
for a bit?

Of course. [sic]

I've heard more than enough
about how great Sonic is.

[after completing Stage 1, Twinkle Park, getting kidnapped into the Egg Carrier, and completing Stage 2, Hot Shelter]
The Past, Day

Tribesman, on the second floor, west of the shrine:

We made a lotta money
with our power.

But whenever we tried to
get the Emeralds,

some strange force always
stopped us.

I can't imagine those
little creatures

have that much power...

A tribesman also on a second floor, west of the shrine, facing the wall:

Chao? Sacred power?

No way! I don't buy it.
We're goin' in to get

those special stones!

Tribesman, on the second floor, east of the shrine:

These strange creatures seem
to be living near the altar.

They're small and...
well, it's hard to describe...

My grandma called
them "Chao."

Tribesman, on the first floor, north of the shrine:

There's an altar in front
of the gate.

The 7 Emeralds are there.

With those 7 Emeralds...

all our dreams will come true.

Various tribesmen circling around the shrine, 20 in all, one assigned for each script:

A good offense is the
best defense!

Full steam ahead!

Grrrr!

Hey! Look out!
Get out of the way!

Hit 'em when they least
expect it! That's my motto.

Is this life a dream?
Or is it reality?

I like fighting!
Actually, I love fighting!

I think, therefore I am.

I've never been scared of
anything my whole life!

Is there anyone or
anything capable

of making me feel scared?

Just watch...
I'll get them all!

Life is always changing,
and is never permanent.

But our prosperity will
never end.

Miracles come from within!

Move! MOVE IT!
Everyone, stand back!

Never gloat in victory.

We must proceed discreetly.

But we always do
just the opposite!

We're too hyper!

Well, well, well!

Well... I...
I just can't sit still!

You have no idea what
fighting is all about.

You just attack!

Yo-ho! Yo-ho!

[after The Past, and abandoning the Egg Carrier, the player will be forced into Mystic Ruins, Night]
Station Square, Night
Station, Upper Deck

Twin Pinkies, towards the left of the balcony

Left:
Oh, my...

I... I can't move!

Right:
She said to hurry and get out...

And now she's frozen with
fear!

Station worker:

The trains were jam-packed
with people

trying to get out of
Station Square.

It's finally calmed down.

Casino Area

Old businessman walking around perimeter:

No one's here tonight, thanks
to the missile scare, huh?

Well, as for me,
I'm to old to care. [sic]

Hotel
Hotel Manager:

I just heard one of the
customers saying something

about a missile.

But I can't leave, no
matter what.

Pool Area

[no one there]

Station Area

Businesswoman, along coastline, near hotel entrance:

A m-m-missile appeared out
of nowhere, and...

Aaaagh!

Owner of Cyber-Net Inc.:

M-missile? No problem.

It hasn't gone off yet.
Nothing's happened.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

Mature girl strolling around perimeter:

I'm pretty mature for my age,
so I can stay out late.

I don't know
what happened

to clear this place out,
but I love it.

Newsstand Saleswoman:

Some people ran when
they saw the missile.

Some hid in their homes...

The whole place is
deserted now.

Me?

It won't help to worry now.
Whatever happens, happens.

City Hall Area

Shy businesswoman, standing beside Burger Shop:

Once again, I couldn't say
one word to him...!

I'm such a coward.
I'm such a loser!

That's it. I'm talking
to him tomorrow!

Male Burger Shop worker:

Who was that girl?

Well, she mumbles a lot, but
never orders anything.

She was cute, though.

Owner of antique shop:

I can't worry about that now.

I've made up my mind!

Mystic Ruins, Night
Main Area

Man with binoculars, in front of station:

We're the exploration
party searching

for the ruins.

The second party already
went into the jungle

after the first group.

But they didn't pick me
to be a member,

so I'm staying put.

Backpacker standing outside of the unopened West Cave:

Hey! No fair, dude.

The second party left
without me,

while I was searching the mountains.

I seriously wanted to go
with 'em.

Mustache, glasses, by hut:

It veered back and forth,
toward the jungle,

then the ocean.

That's where the ship
went...

So the ship's gotta be in
one of those two directions,

right?

Well, it's just a guess.

Jungle

Backpacker, eastern edge:

I saw it! This tube hanging
off a cliff.

It disappeared in a flash...
But what was it?

Backpacker, southern edge:

I seem to have wandered
into a never-ending jungle!

Oh, but all things
considered, it's not so bad.

But to be honest,
I do get scared at night.

Man with binoculars, approximately southeastern of level map:

I've been in the jungle
for months...

And, to think, my wife is in
Station Square.

I wonder what she's doing
right now?

Mustache, glasses, about northeastern of level map:

I've been an explorer for
25 years!

And it's the first time
I've ever seen

such a beautiful girl here
in the jungle!

Whoa, I must be
hallucinating again...

Man with binoculars, south of map, on the path east from the pyramid:

No matter how far we go,
the jungle just keeps going.

It's getting dark. We
should probably set up camp.

[after completing Stage 3, Final Egg]
Mystic Ruins, Day
Jungle

Backpacker, eastern edge:

I saw it!

This huge thing roaring
off into the sky!

What was it?

I couldn't really see
it through the trees.

Backpacker, southern edge:

It's like you're one
with nature, or something.

I feel so relaxed.

Man with binoculars, approximately southeastern of level map:

I've been in the jungle
for months...

My wife is back in Station
Square.

I wish I could see her
again.

Mustache, glasses, about northeastern of level map:

I've been an explorer for
25 years!

I must be dreaming!

I can't believe a beautiful
girl like you

would be in a place like this.

Man with binoculars, south of map, on the path east from the pyramid:

It's just jungle, jungle
and more jungle.

When I first came in,
I thought I saw it...

Where in the heck are
those ruins?

Main Area

Man with binoculars, in front of station:

We're the exploration
party searching for the ruins.

You know that ship floating
in the ocean over there...

It looks an awful lot like
the one we saw flying

around earlier.

Backpacker standing outside of the unopened West Cave:

Hey, I got a letter from
my folks.

Great!

They want me to stop acting
so childish and come home.

Parents just don't get it.
I'm gonna do what I want.

Mustache, glasses, by hut:

We're here to search for
the ruins.

But I saw a plane crash
into the ocean.

Man, I wanna go check
that out, too!

Station Square, Day
Station, Upper Deck

Station worker:

The talks went well and now
I can get back to work.

Thank you for taking the
train.

Station, Main Deck

Spiffy, right wall:

Thanks to Tails, the
missile crisis is over

and things are back to normal.

It sure feels good to be safe.

Casino Area

Businessman walking around perimeter:

You're right. I need to
get my act together

and change my ways!

Watching Tails in action
has truly inspired me.

Old businessman walking around perimeter:

That Tails is one
really brave guy!

I wish you could've
seen it, Amy.

Mother and Son standing beside the station's back stairway

Mother (left):
Wow... Tails! I'm impressed!

Son (right):
Wow!

Did you see that?

Tails beat that huge
machine all by himself!

Well, if he can do it...
I can too!

Hotel
Hotel Manager:

Hi! How's your Chao doing?
Getting bigger?

They're so cute, aren't
they?

Pool Area

[no one there]

Station Area

Businesswoman, along coastline, near hotel entrance:

You can see Robotnik's
crashed airship in the ocean.

It hasn't sunk yet.
It's just floating there.

Pinky, beside the dock:

Looks like he left me.

I guess he doesn't like me
anymore...

I never dreamed this could
happen.

Owner of Cyber-Net Inc.:

Look! My building's
still standing!

Ha ha ha ha ha!

Newsstand Saleswoman:

Waking up, reading the paper,
going to bed at night...

When you think about it,
normal life is underrated,

don't you agree?

City Hall Area

Hat Woman walking around perimeter:

Any cute guys around here?

Businessman walking around perimeter:

Looks like that Burger Shop
hired a new employee.

Shy businesswoman is now a Female Burger Shop worker

Female Burger Shop worker (left):
Look! Look at this uniform!

Not only did we become
friends,

I'm now working here with
him, too.

Do you think he thinks
I'm cute?

Male Burger Shop worker (right):
You should've told me
about that.

Owner of antique shop:

It's a quiet shop,
with barely any customers.

It's okay as long as a few
regulars keep coming in.
