Template:CharacterSheet The original Metal Sonic was a robot created by Doctor Eggman (aka Doctor Ivo Robotnik) in order to kidnap Amy Rose and lure Sonic into a trap. He debuted in Sonic CD, and was destroyed or damaged during a race with Sonic in Stardust Speedway Zone. Metal Sonic has appeared in Knuckles' Chaotix, Sonic R, Sonic the Fighters, Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2. He also featured as an important character in Sonic Heroes.
The robot in Sky Sanctuary Zone (Sonic & Knuckles) could be called Metal Sonic, but as he has a different design, is more commonly referred to as Mecha Sonic.
In Sonic the Comic, Metal Sonic was known as Metallix.
In Sonic Heroes, Metal Sonic kidnapped his creator to lure Sonic & Co. into a trap to show he was finally more powerful than Sonic.
