Super Silver is Silver the Hedgehog's Super transformation. Like Tails and Knuckles in Sonic Heroes, he did not transform on his own, but was given the power to transform by Super Sonic. He appears during the final battle of the 2006 Sonic the Hedgehog game.

Super Silver is a white-gold color and his mane and the rings on his gloves all turn yellow. The two quills on the back of his head and the back of his mane all bend upwards, and he has red eyes. All of the quills on his forehead move forward (as is he is using his powers), and the bottom two bend upwards. In addition to the usual speed, flight, and defense increases of a Super State, Super Silver gains a new ability called the "Shield of Light". He surrounds himself with a circular force field, and any objects that enter this field fall under his control. He is also able to use the same charged dashes as Super Sonic.

Super Silver and Super Sonic saving the world from the Metal Virus together with the Warp Topaz.

In the Sonic the Hedgehog comics by IDW Publishing, Super Silver made an appearance in issue #29, at the end of the Metal Virus saga. After taking the last Chaos Emerald from Zavok, both Sonic and Silver used the Chaos Emeralds to transform into their Super forms and defeat Zavok. Combining his power with Super Sonic's and the Warp Topaz, Super Silver siphoned the Metal Virus from the entire planet while Super Sonic sent the Metal Virus into the sun.
