Chaclon (チャクロン) is a character in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. They are an expertly trained Chao who appears as the toughest rival in Chao Races.

Description
Chaclon's appearance has slight variations with each game appearance, however both appearances share the same physical traits in that they are a two-tone grey Chao. In Sonic Adventure, Chaclon uses a dark shade of grey with noticeable shades of the regular Chao colours (light blue and yellow), whereas in Sonic Adventure 2 they use a lighter shade of grey with a blue belly and yellow limbs. Chaclon always has their eyes half open at all times, akin to a bored expression, and loves to lay around when idle, even when on the podium in Sonic Adventure.

Sonic Adventure
In their debut game, Chaclon appeared in the five Jewel Races once the Emerald Course had been cleared. When Chaclon participates in a race, they will play in a completely different way from other rivals in that they will wait for the other Chao to get a head start at the beginning of a race, before rocketing off after them and overtaking them with their high stats.
Sonic Adventure 2
In the sequel, Chaclon appears in two races in the Challenge Race courses. The first race is simply titled "He returns", the second is "He strikes back", both race titles referring to him as male. In both races he no longer waits for his rivals to get a head start like in the first game, however is still considerably stronger than the other six rivals.

Sonic the Hedgehog (IDW comics)
Chaclon makes a minor cameo appearance in issue #33 of the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series by IDW Publishing, where they can be seen lying down while Cream is preparing Cheese for a Chao Race at the White Park Grand Chateau.
