Bark the Polar Bear's character model from Sonic the Fighters.

Bark the Polar Bear is one of the one-hit-wonders from Sonic the Fighters, like Bean the Dynamite. He's slow and powerful like Big, but obviously is more of a fighter. He wears a toque and scarf, as well as the obligatory gloves and shoes. Bark also made a cameo appearance in Fighters Megamix. The posters in Sonic Generations City Escape offer a reward for his capture, calling him "armed and dangerous" suggesting that he may be a villain or bounty hunter on unfriendly terms with the United Federation. Little is known about Bark outside of his appearances in the Sonic comics. His apparent home, Aura Icefield, may not be far from Ice Cap Zone.

Sonic the Fighters (Sonic Championships)

Bark is the third opponent in arcade mode and the carrier of the third yellow chaos emerald. Whether he is attempting to get on the Death Egg II for his own gain, or just to be a hero is unknown. Most of Bark's moves are powerful and slow, he is the heaviest playable fighter in the original game. (Metal Sonic and Eggman have more powerful attacks and are playable as in the Xbox 360 HD re-release) Some of his more powerful moves are the rotor wheel, twin hammer drive, and one-two wham. He also has a large array of grabbing techniques such as the bark strike, head throw, and the biff-baff. Because of the speed and the range of the twin hammer drive, many different combos are possible with this particular move. The bark strike is another move that can set Bark up for quite a few combos as it restrains it's victim from recovering while in the air. These are a few abilities that Bark has that makes him a desirable character to play as. One of His major downfalls is, however, that he is vulnerable every time one of his barriers is broken. Bark's home course is Aura Icefield, the course's song is called "Black Bed" and the course itself features the northern lights in the background, along with what appears to be some kind of icy trees. Bark uses his chaos emerald to enter hyper mode. Then Bark can use an upgraded form of his rotor wheel move as his special hyper technique. This move causes Bark to spin in a similar fashion to how Espio spindashes, driving him straight toward his opponent and even pinning him up against the wall, allowing multiple consecutive hits. It may be the most powerful hyper technique in the entire game.
