E-102 Gamma is a fictional character in the Sonic the Hedgehog universe.
His play style in Sonic Adventure is unique as it involves only shooting and reaching the target while the time dwindles down. Score depends on how long the aim button has been held down and when shot, time is added to the timer as a reward.
Gamma had his "brothers" dismayed, which included E-101 Beta, E-103 Delta, E-104 Epsilon, and E-105 Zeta. However, as the game progresses, he find intriguing events that turn his 'life' around, which also included the encounter with Tikal taking him to a mysterious area, Amy Rose with the Flicky bird, and Froggy.
His appearance to play as one of Dr. Eggman's badniks, or clunkers, as Sonic called him, is most intriguing with his perspective of temporary flight, and wheeled mode.
Though Gamma was destroyed in the climax of his story in Sonic Adventure, Eggman would later use his mold to build several different robots. These include the E-1000 robots in Sonic Adventure 2 as well as Chaos Gamma from Sonic Battle.
