Template:SuperCharacterSheet Super Ray is Ray the Flying Squirrel's Super transformation which he used in Sonic Mania Plus. Like other Super transformations, Ray achieves this form by harnessing the power of the seven Chaos Emeralds.
When assuming this Super state, Ray does not undergo any physical changes, but his fur glows a bright yellow color and he leaves afterimages and twinkling stars when moving at high speed. He gains the usual invincibility, increased speed and higher jump like other Super forms, with the increased speed also being beneficial to his Air Glide.
Archie comics
An instance of Super Ray was previously seen in the the pre-Super Genesis Wave continuity of the Archie comics. When Ray was once rescued by Vector the Crocodile, the two found themselves surrounded by a swarm of hostile robots intent on taking the Master Emerald. In what seemed like a losing battle, Ray stood on top of the Master Emerald and pretended to draw power from the Master Emerald with the intent of undergoing a super transformation, scaring the robots away. As Ray was simply pretending to go super, this is not a true transformation.
