Barry is the default name given to the player character of The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog. They are a Quokka who works in the dining car of the Mirage Express. However, on their first day on the job they are swept up in Amy Rose's murder mystery party, and help her to solve the game's titular puzzle.

Barry has a cameo appearance in Sonic the Hedgehog: Winter Jam along with the Conductor. Barry was seen again in Sonic the Hedgehog issue 69 serving Chili Dogs during an Extreme Gear race.
