Sinbad is an alternate reality version of Knuckles the Echidna encountered by Sonic during Sonic and the Secret Rings. He looks identical to Knuckles aside from his clothing: a white Arabian i'gal headdress, a dishdasha robe with a purple belt, and gray metal wristlets.
Within the Arabian Nights, Sinbad is a famous sailor and adventurer. Shahra recommended that Sonic seek him out in order to acquire his Water Blue Ring (the World Ring of Pleasure), which can control storms. The hedgehog finds Sinbad being held captive aboard the sky-mantas of Levitated Ruin, and frees him from his cage by solving a mirror puzzle. Much like Knuckles, though, Sinbad is quick to anger and almost ends up fighting his rescuer.
