Metal Tails is a robot version of Miles "Tails" Prower created by Dr. Eggman, and appears as an unlockable character in Sonic Superstars.

Character conception

Metal Tails was created for the Sonic the Hedgehog Archie comic series, first appearing in Sonic Universe issue 37. Metal Tails was reintroduced eleven years later in Sonic Superstars as part of the Metal Fighter robot line.^[1]

In video games

Metal Tails can be built within the Sonic Superstars battle mode. In the battle mode Metal Tails can used to fight against other Metal Fighters online or in local multiplayer. Once construction of Metal Tails is completed within the battle mode, Metal Tails can be fought in Cyber Station Zone.
