Maria Robotnik

In Sonic the Hedgehog video games, Maria Robotnik was Shadow's friend until she was killed on the Space Colony ARK. She was Prof. Gerald Robotnik's granddaughter as well, making her Dr. Eggman's cousin. She sacrificed herself to save Shadow by giving him the only escape pod left on the ARK. Shadow made a promise to her to bring hope to humanity and give humans a chance to be happy. Despite some mental sidetracking, Shadow fulfilled that promise and will continue to do so whenever necessary.
History
Maria Robotnik suffered from an illness known as "NIDS" (Neuro-Immune Deficiency Syndrome) as a little girl she had to go to live with her grandfather he invented the Space colony A.R.K and that is were they went to live. He tried to find a cure for Maria's illness but could not find any thing. So then he created Shadow the Hedgehog (Project shadow), he was suppose to help cure her. They were best friends and loved to watch the earth. The army found out about (Project shadow) and thougt it was a threat to earth. So they attacked the A.R.K. Maria tried to save shadow by blocking him and was sadly shot. She beged Shadow to help the people on that planet and pulled the lever and shadow fell down to earth. Proffeser Robotnik got put in jail. Shadow got sealed away for 50 years then Dr.Eggman let him free. Then he did not remember any thing so he tried to find out about his past he met Blackdoom he toled him if he gets all 7 chaos emeralds for him he coude find about his past but when he found out Blackdoom just wanted the emeralds so he coude kill all the humans now he remembers what maria said help those people on that planet. So he killed Blackdoom and saved the earth from a comet and went back to live in space.
Personality
Maria is a very kind girl, and is about twelve years old. In Sonic Adventure 2, she wants Shadow to protect mankind. In Shadow the Hedgehog, she also vows to protect Earth, and feels sorry for dead GUN soldiers and injured people, and does whatever she can to help them. Maria is concerned about Earth and humans' safety, especially Professor Gerald's.
Shadow the Hedgehog
She returns in Shadow's new game as a mission character. In the Action Stage The Doom, Maria wishes for Shadow to heal ten of the wounded researchers, not caring about the fact that 61 GUN troops are after her. And in the Action Stage Lost Impact, Maria and Shadow go on a mission to shut down the Artificial Chaos before they destroy ARK.
