Sonic Super Special Magazine is back - to the future! The first ever Sonic comic magazine in Archie history, packed with over 100 pages of comics, news and features, will spotlight the complete "Mobius: 25 Years Later" epic! Sonic's complete futuristic adventure is collected in its entirety and available for the first time in one place in this deluxe, magazine-sized, quarterly collection! Also featured is an exclusive interview with Sonic superstar artist Ben Bates, and the new Sonic Time Line, which features more new art from fan-favorite artist Tracy Yardley!

Despite it advertising the storyline as, "collected in its entirety," it's actually missing both the Prelude and the story from Sonic the Hedgehog 143 (Archie). It also doesn't feature an interview with Ben Bates, as he was interviewed in the previous issue. Rather, Steven Butler was the one being interviewed.

Stories

  • Mobius: 25 Years Later - The Unveiling - Sonic the Hedgehog 132 (Archie)
    • While Knuckles and Julie-Su are celebrating their daughter, Lara-Su's, Unveiling, Rotor and Cobar come up with a theory that the space-time continuum is on the verge of collapse, due to both Dimitri and his followers, and King Sonic's past adventures. Harry enters and gives Knuckles a message from Rotor about the theory.
  • Mobius: 25 Years Later - Midnight in the Garden - Sonic the Hedgehog 133 (Archie)
    • Knuckles meets Rotor at Locke's Park, with Rotor being asked why he show up to the Unveiling. He responds that he didn't think it would matter either way, then he draws Knuckles' attention to the storm in the sky. He tells him that he and Cobar have discovered that the space-time continuum is on the verge of collapsing and that they'll need King Sonic's help, along with an alliance between the Kingdom of Acorn and the Republic of Angel Island.
  • Mobius: 25 Years Later - In Transit - Sonic the Hedgehog 134 (Archie)
    • While on a flight off Angel Island, Rotor remembers his talk with Knuckles, where he found Rutan and Salma overhearing. Knuckles ends their meeting and heads back to meet the Brotherhood of Guardians. He gets noticed by Sojourner, who asks Knuckles about the spy satellite. Spectre asks if it could be Lien-Da, but Knuckles says it's about Rutan. Meanwhile, Lien-Da confronts Rutan and Salma and asks where they went to. Rutan tries explaining that they spent the night with friends after the Unveiling. Rotor hacked into the system watches with Cobar to see if Lien-Da had found out about the space-time continuum falling apart. Luckily they find that she didn't.
  • Mobius: 25 Years Later - Dealing with the Devil - Sonic the Hedgehog 135 (Archie)
    • Lein-Da tells Rutan that she knows that he wasn't with friends last night. He reluctantly tells her that he and Salma were with each other at the park late that night. Lein-Da gets angered, but is calmed when he tells her that they didn't do anything because Lara-Su's dad and someone else were there that night, talking about needing help. She tells him that he's not in trouble, and to go ahead back to his room. After he's gone, she makes a call to Julie-Su.
  • Mobius: 25 Years Later - Girl Talk - Sonic the Hedgehog 136 (Archie)
    • Julie-Su and Abby are seen talking to Sally on a monitor discussing dinner plans. While talking, Sally notices she has a call waiting on the monitor, turning out to be Lien-Da. Since Julie-Su hasn't spoken to Lien-Da in so long, she was wondering if they could have a three-way call, to which Lien-Da agrees. Julie-Su asks why Lara-Su is out of school so early. The recent lightning storms that have been occurring shorted out the power, and without lights class could not take place. Sally's area has been affected as well, with strong lightning and wind, yet no rain. Sally had asked Rotor about it, but he assured her that it wouldn't affect Sally and Sonic's trip to Angel island. Sally asks if Lien-Da can join, but Lien-Da says she already has plans.
  • Mobius: 25 Years Later - Trouble in Paradise - Sonic the Hedgehog 137 (Archie)
    • Sonic, Sally and their family are on the plane to Angel Island, meanwhile Julie-Su and Knuckles are making preparations for their dinner guests. Both Sally and Julie-Su ask if their respective husbands have been okay recently. Sonic's response is that he feels limited in his role as king, saying it isn't what he expected. Julie-Su asks Knuckles if he's still mad at Sonic for "last time", to which he denies, yet he still doesn't really want to see Sonic. The story ends with Sonic's family arriving and ringing the doorbell.
  • Mobius: 25 Years Later - My Dinner with Sonic - Sonic the Hedgehog 138 (Archie)
    • Julie-Su and Sally are enjoying their time together, though Sally does admit that she misses Tails and his family who have apparently moved to Downunda. Meanwhile, despite Sonic and Knuckles having constant arguments during dinner, they end up discussing their plan for how to stop the collapse of space-time.
  • Mobius: 25 Years Later - Slumber Party - Sonic the Hedgehog 139 (Archie)
    • Sonic's son, Manik, is trying to get the girls to play spin the bottle with him. Julie-Su, Sally and Abby enter the room and want to know what's going on. Lara-Su asks the adults to join in on the game, to which Manik runs out of room, not wanting to play anymore. He ends up running into the game room where Sonic is playing pool. Sonic offers to teach Manik after he sees how well Sonic plays. Meanwhile, Lara-Su asks Julie-Su and Sally why their husbands can't get along, though they can't give a definitive answer.
  • Mobius: 25 Years Later - A Difference of Opinion - Sonic the Hedgehog 140 (Archie)
    • Knuckles and Sonic discuss the situation a little more, but end up pinning the blame on each other for what's happening. Sonic blames Knuckles for reshaping Mobius to his liking when he became Chaos Knuckles again, which included de-roboticizing Julie-Su. Knuckles blames Sonic for when he attempted to use a nullifier to stop Knuckles, saying not only did it backfire, but it also resulted in him losing one of his eyes, replacing it with a robotic eye. Sonic is left alone to wonder what happened to his older self.
  • Mobius: 25 Years Later - Scenario - Sonic the Hedgehog 141 (Archie)
    • Sonic and Knuckles meet up with Rotor and Cobar, where they reveal that the end of the world is about to end. After looking at all the possibilities, they claim that Sonic is, in fact, to blame for this on one of three instances in the past. Either when he accessed the Cosmic Interstate in Sonic the Hedgehog 011 (Archie), when Dr. Robotnik fired his Ultimate Annihilator while battling with him in Sonic the Hedgehog 050 (Archie), or when Sonic detonated the Quantum Dial in Sonic the Hedgehog 125 (Archie). Lien-Da overhears the conversation and demands to become a part of it, considering the King and Guardian have to be involved.
  • Mobius: 25 Years Later - Moment of Truth - Sonic the Hedgehog 142 (Archie)
    • Rotor and Cobar continue discussing options for how to solve the problem, until Rotor proposes sending someone back in time to stop one of the three situations. Back at Knuckles' place, he and Sonic then go to a video call with the two scientists, where they propose the itime travel option using the Tachyon Chamber, a device Dr. Robotnik created at some point. Sonic decides that it might be their only way out of world destruction, and asks the two to meet him and Knuckles at the chamber.
  • Mobius: 25 Years Later - The Die is Cast - Sonic the Hedgehog 144 (Archie)
    • Knuckles speaks to Lara-Su and informs her that he has decided that she may begin training to become a Guardian. Lara-Su begins to question him, but is then informed that they will begin after he returns-or, in the event that he does not return, she'll knows who to contact about her training. Lara asks to go along, but Knuckles refuses. He departs for the shuttle port to join Sonic, Rotor, and Cobar. Knuckles departs Angel Island on a shuttle with his companions, the stormy weather growing worse and worse around them. They then disembark in protective suits, finding the chamber up and running. Sonic volunteers himself to go back in time, telling the others that there isn't any other option. Back on the shuttle, Lara-Su comes out of hiding, having stowed away. But before she can join the others, she starts disappearing into thin air. Meanwhile, the teleportation seems to be breaking down, but before anyone can do anything about it, Sonic disappears. Blast back to the present day, both Sonic and Knuckles question what their future might be like, before quickly dismissing any notions of it.
  • Mobius: 25 Years Later - Tempus Fugit - Sonic the Hedgehog 166 (Archie)
    • Tails can be seen flying deciding to bring together the original "Triple Threat" to end King Shadow's rule over Mobius. He first heads to the Guardian tower where Knuckles, Shadow's chief enforcer, is training his daughter Lara-Su. Tails revealed that he knew of the other timeline, but Knuckles threatens to arrest Tails if he doesn't leave. Tails finds Lara-Su, who heard everything. She reveals that she remembers the other timeline, and wishes to correct it. She and Tails then go off to find Sonic. Meanwhile, King Shadow is torturing Rotor to make him reveal everything he knows. Shadow exits Rotor's prison and commends Lien-Da for capturing him. Shadow then tells Lien-Da to "thank" Rotor if he gives any more information. The Dark Eyes inform them of what Tails and Lara-Su are up to. They order Knuckles to stop them. Meanwhile, Lara-Su and Tails find Sonic, with Sonic getting upset over what he ended up losing. They discuss their plan to overthrow King Shadow, but Knuckles shows up to arrest them.
  • Mobius: 25 Years Later - Tempus Aeternus - Sonic the Hedgehog 167 (Archie)
    • Underneath the catacombs of Mobius Castle, Sonic, Tails, Lara-Su and Rotor are being held as prisoners. They converse a bit until Knuckles enters. He reveals that he was actually working for King Shadow as a ploy, then sets them free. Lara takes Rotor to the hospital, Tails deactivates the security system and Sonic and Knuckles head to the throne room where Shadow is with Queen Sally. Knuckles escorts Sally out, leaving Sonic and Shadow to duke it out. Sonic tries his best, but Shadow proves powerful for Sonic, defeating him because of his unaged physique, unlike Sonic. Lara-Su comes to Sonic's aid by fighting for him. Lara-Su ends up proving herself quite the match against Shadow, which ends with her freezing Shadow using Chaos Control. Knuckles comes back, sees what she's done, and takes her home, proud of her abilities as Guardian. Sonic re-introduces himself to Sally, and the two are left to remember the times they were in love and had a family, getting back together again.
