Dragonfly, called Tonbar (トンバー) in the Japanese Manual, is a dragonfly badnik from Sonic & Knuckles found in Mushroom Hill Zone. It hovers up and down, and similar to Caterkiller can only be destroyed by jumping on its head. The player will take damage if they attack any other part of its body.

Dragonfly returns in Act 2 of Sonic Mania's Press Garden Zone. The badnik is now coloured pink and its body has six segments instead of seven, though the spiked segment on the end is larger than before. These minor changes aside, it functions the same as its original appearance.
