Woodrow[1][2] is an enemy Badnik encountered in Sonic Mania.
Overview
Appearing in Press Garden Zone Act 2, Woodrow appears as a woodpecker-like Badnik with a green and magenta body and a piston-like beak. In Encore Mode, its body has an olive and purple colouring instead.
Woodrows can be found perched on the trunks of trees, never moving from their positions. If the player approaches one, it will repeatedly hammer into the tree with its beak, and any bombs hanging from the tree will be shaken off after a few seconds and cause damage to the player. Any kind of attack will be enough to defeat a Woodrow.
