Death Egg Robot is the first boss encountered in Sonic Mania, originally the final boss of Sonic the Hedgehog 2]. The player confronts it at the end of Green Hill Zone Act 2. This time it chases the player along with throwing bombs from the original fight and attacking with expandable claws.
