Chemical plant zone mini boss is the second mini boss encountered in Sonic Mania it is encountered at the end of the first stage of Chemical Plant zone. It appears to be a spherical machine with three prominent prongs.

Defeat Strategy

The machine will initially dive into the chemicals below and emerge coated in them, rendering it temporarily immune to attack. It will then swoop down and attempt to hit the player after which the coating will break up into small orbs orbiting the machine around the middle. It will then be safe to attack the lower half. After this, the orbs will disperse and the pattern will repeat.
