The Variable Wispon is a prototype Wispon created by Smithy the Lion that is used by Whisper the Wolf.
Conception
Ian Flynn created the Variable Wispon because he wanted to use the Wispon technology previously introduced in Sonic Forces.[1] The weapon was designed by Evan Stanley, including all it's different modes.[2]
Overview
Created by Smithy the Lion, this unique Wispon is capable of using multiple types of Color Powers to assume different weapon modes depending on the Wisp breed that is used. However, the weapon can only house one Wisp at a time. The kind of modes the Variable Wispon uses are different from regular Wispons in that their effects are more designed for precision shots which cause less widespread damage, but more intense impacts. For example, the Hover Mode makes the Variable Wispon assume the form of an umbrella.[3]
