A Mother Computer is a term used in various Sonic games to refer to supercomputers. Frequently, the techno-smashy hero characters will be required to hack into one (or simply blow it up) in an effort to bring down Eggman's robotic armies. Games which have featured mother computers include:
- Shadow the Hedgehog: The GUN Fortress level sees Shadow assigned to attack the humans' three mother computers by Black Doom. The alien overlord hopes that, with their computers disabled, the human army will be easy pickings for his Black Arms.
- Sonic Battle: There's a terminal to Eggman's mother computer in Gimme Shelter. Cream and Emerl have to interact with it in order to escape the base; Rouge also attempts to hack it to get access to the Doctor's data.
- Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity: Eggman builds a mother computer for his shell company, MeteorTech, out in the desert of Monopole. Unwisely, he uses a Babylonian Ark of the Cosmos to power it; a decision which backfires on him when the SCR-GP horde goes berserk.
