Master Overlord is a transformation of Neo Metal Sonic from the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series published by IDW Publishing. It is very similar in appearance to his Metal Overlord transformation from Sonic Heroes, however uses the Master Emerald as a power source.

History
Neo Metal Sonic, while on Angel Island, used the power of the Master Emerald, and data collected from Sonic the Hedgehog and Shadow the Hedgehog, to transform into Master Overlord.[1] Master Overlord intended to use the power of the Master Emerald to realize Dr. Eggman's dream of global conquest as he went missing, and was going to start by destroying Angel Island and everyone on it. Sonic quickly realized that in order to defeat him they just had to remove the Master Emerald from him. Tails fought him with the ship he took from the Egg Fleet. Sonic and the Resistance also helped with the distraction while Knuckles the Echidna was taking his emerald back from under his nose. Metal Sonic then reverted back to his original form.[2]
