The Team BlastMedia:SonicHeroes GC US manual.pdf[1] (チームブラストMedia:SonicHeroes PS2 JP manual.pdf[2]) is a move that was introduced and can only be used in Sonic Heroes. It involves all three characters in a team joining together and combining their powers for a powerful attack.

Overview

At the top right corner of the screen is the Team Blast Gauge, which can be filled up by a variety of different actions. Using moves, attacking enemies and collecting Rings will slowly fill the gauge, but picking up a Team Blast Ring from an Item Box will instantly fill the gauge. Once the gauge has been filled up completely, the Team Blast will be ready and can be activated by pressing the Z (GCN)/   (Xbox)/R1 (PS2/PS3)/ Z  (PC) at any time. Once the move is activated, the game plays a short cinematic where all three members of the team will combine their powers and unleash a powerful attack that will destroy all nearby enemies.

Once the Team Blast has been used, the gauge will turn red and enter a "cooldown" state in which it will gradually turn yellow again and reset. In addition to defeating enemies, most Team Blasts also have an extra after-effect that lasts for the duration of this cooldown, and each after-effect varies depending on the team. To use their Team Blast again, the team must wait for the cooldown to end and build up enough energy in the gauge again; while it won't be visible during cooldown, the gauge can still be refilled, and another Team Blast can be used immediately after the cooldown if filled quickly enough. If any teammates are missing, they will all return when the Team Blast is used.

There are four different Team Blasts (five, counting Team Super's). Although each have their own unique look and special effect, they all do the same basic thing which is to destroy all nearby enemies.
