Green Hill Zone, perhaps the most iconic of the tropical island cliche zones.

The Tropical Island Cliche is probably one of the most common of all the cliches, appearing in the majority of Sonic series games. Common features in levels like this include palmtrees, waterfalls, bright flowers, and badniks relating to the environment (i.e., monkeys, piranha, etc.). Furthermore, this is typically the first zone of the game when it does occur, with Sonic Advance 3 a notable exception.
