True Blue: The Best of Sonic the Hedgehog is a compilation album of music used in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. Compiled by Jun Senoue, nearly all the tracks featured are the various vocal themes that have become a staple of the Sonic gaming experience. As such, the majority of the songs are from the Sonic Adventure era and beyond, with only four compositions representing Sonic's musical career beforehand. Also included are a handful of remixed bonus tracks, one of them being the theme to Sonic Adventure, making "Open Your Heart" and "His World" the only two pieces to appear twice.

- Though available in their original forms both before and since, the versions of "Live and Learn" and "What I'm Made Of" were remixed by Masahiro Fukuhara in August of 2007 specifically for this release. The differences between the two versions are only slight, and can be easy to overlook.
- The second bonus track on the album, the SSBB remix of Angel Island Zone, was as the name implies originally produced for inclusion in the Nintendo fighter Super Smash Bros. Brawl, which featured Sonic the Hedgehog as a playable character in a game designed to celebrate the history of Nintendo. The track is also the only song on the album to not feature any vocals.
