Egg Blizzards stand or walk around an area, doing nothing. When they spot Sonic, they will expel icy wind from their fronts for several seconds as an attack. This will freeze Sonic in place for several seconds if it connects. They also appear to have somewhat of a playful side, dancing around in a ballerina fashion when they need to return to their original positions in the 360/PS3 version.
Also in the 360/PS3 version, the Werehog can grab an Egg Blizzard in nighttime stages and weaponize its freezing breath with / and the Left Stick to freeze enemies, allowing him to defeat them in a single hit. If left frozen for too long, enemies will eventually thaw out.
These Badniks are typically found in Cool Edge in all versions, though the Wii/PS2 version gives them an extra appearance at the end of Jungle Joyride Night Act I: Starry Night.
