The Egg Typhoon is a Badnik featured in Sonic Unleashed.

Overview

Egg Typhoons stand or walk around an area, doing nothing. When they spot Sonic, they will expel gusts of wind from their fronts for several seconds, blowing Sonic away. In many cases, they are positioned such that they could blow Sonic into a pit. They also appear to have somewhat of a playful side, dancing around in a ballerina fashion when they need to return to their original positions in the 360/PS3 version.

Also in the 360/PS3 version, the Werehog can grab an Egg Typhoon in nighttime stages and weaponize its windy breath with Y/Triangle and the Left Stick to blow enemies away.

These Badniks are found in the nighttime Cool Edge Act 1, the daytime Skyscraper Scamper Act 1, Shamar's Entrance Stage and nighttime Arid Sands Act 1 in the 360/PS3 version, whereas in the Wii/PS2 version they are found in Dragon Road Night Act III: Path to Darkness and Jungle Joyride Night Act I: Starry Night.

There are two other variants of this enemy, known as the Egg Blizzard and the Egg Flame.

Quotes

They may look like harmless fans, but the gale-force wind these foes put out can tear you to shreds on contact.

— Encyclopedia, 360/PS3 version

Not even Sonic can get far against these baddies' fierce headwinds.
