    Sonic Superstars (ソニックスーパースターズ) is a classic-themed action video game in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. The game is set to release on all major platforms in Fall of 2023.

    It was announced at Summer Games Fest 2023.

    Story

    Gameplay

    The game is based on the original Sega Mega Drive games, except it is depicted in a 2.5D art style similar to Sonic Generations and Sonic Forces. Players can play as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Amy and traverse through levels either in single player or simultaneous multiplayer, a first for the series. Also new to the game is the introduction of Emerald Powers, special abilties that can be performed when certain Chaos Emeralds have been collected.

    Characters

    All four of the playable characters are capable of performing the Spin Attack and Spin Dash, and each have their own unique abilities as listed below.
