Anton (アントン) is a badnik featured in Sonic CD's Palmtree Panic and Sonic Lost World's Desert Ruins. It is based on terrestrial ants.
This little guy simply rolls back and forth along the ground, never going down platforms. They are easily avoided and destroyed in Sonic CD, however must be kicked in Lost World. When broken down due to age, these badniks move considerably slower.
