R2 Badnik 1 is a scrapped badnik originally designed for Sonic the Hedgehog CD. It is one of three known enemy robots meant to appear in the unfinished Round Dubious Depths.[1] As only sprite art exists, the badnik's behavior can only be guessed at. It is a bipedal badnik, with a drill on either arm. The sprites also suggest the badnik would burst forth from below, drills pointed upward, similar to Burrobot from Sonic the Hedgehog.
