The Dark Master is an enemy in Sonic Unleashed and a member of Dark Gaia's Minions that resembles a flying wizard. This particular variant of the Wizard appears only in the Wii/PS2 version of the game.
There are two variations of this enemy: one that can heal other enemies in a battle similar to a Cure Master, and one that cannot. Dark Master's main method of attack is launching a ball of energy at Sonic. Should he attempt to attack them, they will try to float out of attack range or teleporting a short distance, making them rather annoying to deal with. They usually appear alone, but they can also show up in pairs.
