Prototype box art
Various early box art designs for the North American Game Gear version of Sonic Blast were produced during development. The first image was used for early promotions on websites[1] and was first found in low quality on the Compuserve Sega Section. The Sonic model in the cover art was used for the first edition of Sonic CD's PC box artwork, Sonic's Schoolhouse, Sonic X-treme, and other advertisements.
A higher-resolution version of the first image, along with two later cover designs, were posted on Sega Forever's Twitter account on June 22, 2023[1]. All of these images feature different logo designs.
