In Sonic the Hedgehog CD, Never Lake is the beautiful, large lake where Sonic and Amy venture to and find Little Planet anchored to a nearby mountain. This lake lacks any sort of beach as there is a steep drop-off surrounding all parts of the lake. There are also several mountains and rocks, one of which has a caricature of Robotnik's face. This lake can be seen in the opening video of Sonic CD and also on its title screen.
The giant chain which anchors the Little Planet to Sonic's world makes the area prone to rockslides, one of which Sonic has to dodge as he arrives at the shore in the opening movie.
