Radical Highway is the fifth level in the Nintendo 3DS version of Sonic Generations, and an adaptation of the original Radical Highway seen in Sonic Adventure 2. This stage was a Shadow the Hedgehog stage in the original game, so this is the first time Sonic has actually traversed this stage, Classic or Modern. Modern runs through much like he did in Speed Highway with corkscrews and suspended highways, while Classic Sonic hops and bops his way along the highways, even heading up to the orange blimp that hovers over the stage.

Overview
Act 1
Classic Sonic's Act sees the half-pint hedgehog run along the highways, with most of the level layout consisting of straightaways and a large number of slopes that Sonic can gain speed quickly from by rolling down them. Spinning barrels will obstruct his path, and whereas Shadow would use the Somersault to get under them, Classic Sonic has to either roll while running or use the Spin Dash to get under.
