The Drill Spin Attack (ドリルスピンブースト) is a move performed by Knuckles the Echidna in Sonic Frontiers. It is an offensive move for use in combat.

Overview

The Drill Spin Attack can be unlocked in the game's Skill menu for 30 Skill Points after unlocking the Combo Attack. When unlocked, the player can then hold (PS4/PS5)/ (XB1)/ (Switch) when near a group of enemies to make multiple target cursors appear on them. Once the enemies are locked-on, releasing // will make Knuckles attack the enemies by spinning so fast he enters a drill state and dashing into them to repeatedly cause damage. It is similar in execution to the Maximum Heat Knuckles Attack from Sonic Adventure.
