Tower[fn 1] (タワー[1]) is a Guardian in Sonic Frontiers, appearing on the first island, Kronos Island. It is a tall, black, pillar-shaped robot with various stacked pieces of armour and a metallic ring that freely cycles around its body.

Strategy

Kronos Island features one Tower that is encountered on the isolated tutorial island in the southeastern corner of the map. The first encounter with it is part of the game's tutorial section and must be defeated in order to progress. Once defeated, it becomes an optional refight.

The Tower simply stands in place. When encountered by Sonic, the Tower will face his direction and attack by spinning its metallic ring near its head and shooting projectiles at him. The player must avoid these projectiles and repeatedly attack the segments of Tower's body or encircle them with the Cyloop to destroy them and bring its head closer to the ground. After some of its segments are destroyed, the Tower will lift its body off the ground and attempt to slam down on top of Sonic. The player should avoid this, then strike the head after it has come crashing down to deal damage if the head is low enough to attack, while being careful to avoid the spinning ring.

After its HP is depleted, the Tower will go down. It drops a Portal Gear upon defeat. Towers also make appearances as part of certain missions on Ares Island.
