The Cross Slash (クロススラッシュ) is a move performed by Sonic the Hedgehog in Sonic Frontiers. It is an offensive move for use in combat.
Overview
Unlike other unlockable Skills the Cross Slash is not unlocked as part of the skill tree, but is instead unlocked by freeing Tails on Chaos Island. When unlocked, the player can then press 
(PS4/PS5)/
(XB1)/
(Switch) followed by 
(PS4/PS5)/
(XB1)/
(Switch) in mid-air when fighting an enemy to make Sonic float in the air and launch a rapid stream of cross-shaped shockwaves from afar towards the enemy.
This is an especially powerful attack that can deal up to 80 hits on an enemy and can easily activate Phantom Rush. However, Sonic is vulnerable to enemy attack while using the move and thus can be interrupted, and the move will not do any damage to a shielded foe.
