History
Plasma and Arnem Abacus were stationed to a district in Metropolis City by Dr. Robotnik, showing up when the Freedom Fighters appear to spring a group of prisoners free from jail in an attempt to stop them. Arnem would make Plasma fight Sonic, keen on being paid the two million reward money from the evil dictator. Though Sonic is unable to harm Plasma, Amy gets Arnem's attention, hits him on the head and destroys the remote that is controlling Plasma, causing him to instantly dissipate. Arnem is last seen kneeling over the fragments of his broken device immediately after Plasma's defeat.
Arnem briefly returns in issue #130, where Dr. Robotnik, after having absorbed the power of the Chaos Emeralds, has gained the ability to alter reality. Arnem is brought back, again controlling Plasma to fight Sonic alongside the original Metallix, Megatox, Commander Brutus and Metamorphia, though is not acknowledged by Sonic. They are all destroyed when Sonic knocks Brutus into Plasma, causing Plasma's electrical make-up to be disrupted and shock all the villains in the resulting chain reaction.
