Knuckles' Chaotix penultimate boss
After clearing all of Newtrogic High Zone's attractions, two bosses await you in Knuckles' Chaotix's end. In the first, Metal Sonic comes out and attaches himself to a docking mechanism in the attraction selection machine. The four numbers and the X that appear after clearing an attraction now make sense. The four numbers refer to four attacks; choosing them triggers one of the attacks:
- Hidden platforms on the extreme left and right of the screen rise up to become spiked walls. Two fin-like objects come out from the center and move across the screen in an attempt to push you into one of the walls.
- A snake-like mech comes out of one end of the screen and, after a short while, bounces on the floor a few times, starting at the other end of the screen and moving closer to itself. After that one is settled, another comes out of the opposite side and does likewise.
- Rockets come out from the ground and back to the ground, detonating upon impact.
- Two round saw blades (a la Scrap Brain Zone) come out from the ground and move across the screen in an attempt to hit you.
Choosing the X eliminates one of the four choices. Eliminate them all to clear the boss and face Metal Sonic Kai!

Cheat Codes:
- Stage Select and Debug mode: In the Color Test, set the first row in the MARS column to 06,0B,011 and the second row to 04,00,04 and press
 ; the Stage Select option will then appear on the main menu.
- Amy Rose in the Sound Test: In the Color Test, set the second row in the MARS column to 06,0B,11 and the third row to 00,08,17 and press . Amy will appear and dance around where the volume level bars usually appear.
