A sub-boss is in each act of Chaotix's Amazing Arena, although the player need not face it. The sub-boss consists of a large Eggman robot with a detachable head that hovers around the arena, and flailing arms that target the player. The sub-boss is defeated after 1-4 hits, depending on how late in the day it is. Finishing the boss quickly results in a large ring reward, while taking too long causes the level to continue with no prize.
