Ebony is an anthropomorphic black cat with magic powers, featured in Fleetway's Sonic the Comic.
Ebony is introduced in issue #xx as an owner of a bar in New Tek City, housed in the Special Zone. She and her friend Pyjamas encounter Super Sonic, a destructive creature separated from Sonic the Hedgehog, who is suffering from ammnesia, unaware of who or what he is. When Lord Sidewinder sends Bio-Hazard to capture Super Sonic, the trio manage to fend off the attack, and Ebony decides to look after Super Sonic, attempting to turn him into a good person.
Only a small handful of Super Sonic stories were ever printed in STC, and Ebony's role as a friend is to keep Super Sonic from being detected, so he can try and live a normal life. Her final appearance is in issue #183, where she travels with a dying Super Sonic to a source of chaos energy on the planet Mobius, only to find the Chaos Creature absorbing the Chaos Emeralds. Believing that her friend will only be healed rather than turn evil when exponsed to the energy himself, Ebony is proved wrong when Super Sonic subsequently attacks her and the others.
Her final act in the comic is to merge Sonic and Super Sonic together again, returning to the status quo of earlier issues.
