The Ptera[1] (プテラ[2]) is an enemy robot that appears in Sonic Rush Adventure.
Overview
Hence their name, Pteras are modelled after pterodactyls with blue bodies and yellow lower jaws. These robots fly around designated areas throughout Plant Kingdom and Hidden Islands 6 and 7. Once they spot the player, they will swoop down and strike with their beaks, then return to their original position. Jumping or Boosting into them will destroy them easily.
