The Barrier Angler[1] is an enemy robot that appears in Sonic Rush Adventure.
Overview
Barrier Anglers appear as red anglerfish-like robots with red bodies, and are found in the underwater sections of Coral Cave and Hidden Island 11. When approached by the player, they will charge up energy balls from the bulb in front of their faces. Compared to their green-coloured variant, the energy ball is larger, but they will not shoot it, instead keeping it in front as a defensive measure. The best way to take them out is to strike them with a Spin Jump/Axel Jump once they drop their defenses.
