Tokyo is a DLC stage for Shadow Generations, which is part of Sonic X Shadow Generations. This stage is based on the real world location of Shibuya, a special ward in Tokyo, Japan, as depicted in the live-action film Sonic the Hedgehog 3.

It was released as part of the "Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Movie Pack" for Sonic X Shadow Generations on December 12, 2024. The DLC is available as paid standalone DLC, however is also part of the Deluxe Digital Edition.

Overview

To access the stage, the player must first search around the Space Colony ARK hub area. And upon interacting with the portal, it leads to a cutscene.

When Shadow touches the portal, he is transported to another reality and quickly realizes that he is not in his home dimension and inhabiting the body of an alternate self. Watching a G.U.N. helicopter pass him by, Shadow decides to follow it under suspicion which leads him to pursuit the aircraft through the chaotic streets of Tokyo.
