Gotcha

Gotch (ガッチ) is an enemy found in Chaotix's Speed Slider. When the players reach a certain position in the level, this thing will come in from beyond the screen (that is, he shows up as large as possible, shrinking as he approaches the game field) and home in on the nearest player. If he grabs you, you will be surrounded in a ball that will suck away your rings one per second. When this happens, make no attempt to destroy him except with the other player, as he will follow you no matter what you do (so you can't jump under him).
