Monkey Dude, or Saruder (サルダー) in Japan, is a monkey-like badnik from Sonic the Hedgehog 3 found in the trees of Angel Island Zone. Reminiscent of Coconuts from Sonic 2 this badnik simply throws coconuts into the air, and the player must avoid them. They can be easily destroyed by jumping. The difference between Monkey Dude and Coconuts, despite appearance, is that Monkey Dude only throws one coconut and then is empty-handed, whereas Coconuts has an unending supply of coconuts to throw at you.
