Alternatively, the level select can be unlocked by beating the game once or crashing the game (see here).

Windows PC version
During play, press the M key then press Esc to access an undocumented Windows menu bar, which gives the ability to change some graphics and control settings, as well as resume a saved game and restart/quit back to Windows. The help file can also be accessed from this menu.
If the Sega PC Reloaded compatibility tool is being used to run the game, this menu is always accessible when running in a window and can be displayed in full screen mode at any time by right clicking the mouse.
At any time during play, type bobandkate to enable a cheat menu which can be accessed from the undocumented settings menu described above.[2] This enables the following additional features:
- Lives: Number of lives the player currently has (0-9).
- Emeralds: Number of Chaos Emeralds the player has collected (0-7).
- Skip to next act: Skips to the next Act of the current Zone (if used on Act 3, it will skip to Act 1 of the next Zone).
- Skip to next Zone: Skips to the same Act on the next Zone (equivalent to skipping 3 Acts in a row, will do nothing on Panic Puppet Act 2, Act 3 & the Final Fight).
- Skip to last boss: Skips to the Panic Puppet Act 3 boss.
If 'skip to next act' is used on Panic Puppet Act 3 or 'skip to next Zone' is used on Panic Puppet Act 1 with less than 7 Emeralds, the bad ending plays. Otherwise, if all 7 Emeralds are collected, the game skips to the Final Fight instead. If 'skip to next act' is used on the Final Fight, the good ending plays.
If the Sega PC Reloaded compatibility tool is being used to run the game, the cheat menu can be enabled without requiring the code. An alternative method to access the menu is to use a Windows resource editor to swap the first Hidden Menu with the Hidden Cheat Menu.[3]

Final Fight
KojiChao found what appears to be a piece of concept art piece for the final boss, possibly used as part of an 'explosion' sequence after defeating the boss. The background is very dark and can barely be seen, unlike the Sonic Crackers-esque backdrop seen in the final game. The boss is also equipped with items from its third and fifth phase.
Special Stage intros
These images may have been meant to be used for loading screens shown before the Special Stage. However, since the Special Stages don't require much loading time (they appear instantly), the images went unused. Perhaps this means the Saturn special stages were originally going to be used in the PC version?
