Special Stage (Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode I)
Special level, Sonic the Hedgehog 4
Number of Acts: 7
The Special Stage in Sonic the Hedgehog 4 is very similar to the Special Stage in Sonic 1 - it seems to be a rotating maze with bumpers and blocks, and presumably a Chaos Emerald hidden somewhere on each stage.

However, it is not a direct copy. Instead of Sonic 1, where you moved in the maze, in Sonic 4 you move the maze itself, while Sonic falls constantly. The controls have been revealed to be motion control for Wii and the Triggers for PS3 and 360.
