Lani Minella is the voice director for every 3D Sonic game before Shadow the Hedgehog.
After the death of Deem Bristow, Minella and Ryan Drummond kept in touch with fans whenever there were announcements concerning their voice work on the Sonic the Hedgehog games. One of these announcements was that they, along with all the other actors, were fired and replaced with the 4Kids Entertainment Sonic X cast. Minella was not only replaced with Kathleen Delaney as the voice of Rouge, but she also lost her place as voice director.
