I fixed the screenshot! No overscan and corrected colors. Thanks for the advice, now to fix that Aquatic Ruin shot. -Shannikohsax

My bad for the userpages, just got them corrected ;)

Hey thanks again for the help getting those two Userpages restored. Wasn't quite sure how we address those, but now I know, and everything's back in place content-wise. Sorry for the extraneous edits, thanks again rachi <3 Cartridgeculture (talk) 22:44, 4 January 2022 (EST)

Death Egg Robot page FINISHED!!

I finished it and now i removed the thing on the top!About it being a work on proggess,of course.[Sonic Player 101]([talk],[contribs] 19:35

I've been planning on doing a rewrite of that article because, honestly, it's an absolute mess that's full of bad grammar and nonsensical statements. It's why I went and rewrote the Infinite page. --BSonirachi (talk) 13:47, 30 May 2018 (CDT)

I'm starting a HTML created page.

Because of YOU, i'm starting planning on creating another page!P.S.Not public![Sonic Player 101]([talk],[contribs])

Why are you doing nothing?!?

Hello, no changes on that page! --Sonicplayer101 (talk) 13:43, 8 June 2018 (CDT)

Because I haven't had the time to do it yet. I have a life, you know. --BSonirachi (talk) 19:53, 8 June 2018 (CDT)

Good Work!!!!!!!!

You are actually good , BSonirachi. You've rewritten those pages!--Sonicplayer101 (talk) 10:31, 11 June 2018 (CDT)

Sonic & Knuckles Collection

OK, I wasted down the note bout music XPlosiv release and left note bout Japanese release soundtrack. See soniccis96_metrostar at YouTube for an evidence, the file with MIDIs from the original release is in link that placed in the discussion page of article. Any another questions? Soniccis96 (talk) 08:25, 14 June 2018 (CDT)

Oh Sorry, it wasn't you

Hello, BSonirachi I was looking through congtributions and seen that apparently, it was Soniccis96.Not you. I've been looking at the ones in the death egg robot sonic forces boss page. -- Sonicplayer101 (talk) 13:07, 18 June 2018 (CDT)

Death Egg Robot (SF)

Hello, BSonirachi, when you were editing this page by adding {{clear}} at the bottom, I was doing information about how to deafeat Phase 1. -- Sonicplayer101 (talk) 07:30, 15 July 2018 (CDT)

You're only telling me about this now? --BSonirachi (talk) 09:12, 15 July 2018 (CDT)
Yes, I am.Forgot to tell you before -- Sonicplayer101 (talk) 11:31, 15 July 2018 (CDT)
And what does{{clear}} do, BSonirachi? -- Sonicplayer101 (talk) 11:32, 15 July 2018 (CDT)
{{clear}} makes content wait until existing content is completed in all columns, often used to stop text from flowing next to unrelated images. It's far better than just making loads of blank lines. --BSonirachi (talk) 13:43, 15 July 2018 (CDT)

Hey, BSonirachi, I saw someone called the same as you are on Sonic Zone 0. Was it you?

About Sonic Advance 2 maps

Thank you for all information, I very happed, that somebody checked all maps and found problems. All maps was ripped manualy from game screen and all objects plased by screenshorts manually, too. For this reason, I know that it was impossible to do everything without errors the first time. There are very big level sizes. I have all the source files and I will edit all maps later, according to your notes. --G.E.R. (talk) 11:10, 13 March 2020 (EDT)

Ah, excellent stuff. Two more things:
  • The second Special Ring is missing from your map of Sky Canyon Act 1. The same video I linked to on your talk page should help you find it. - fixed
  • VisualBoyAdvance's map viewer can rip the entirety of the Special Stage maps including the speed boosters and jump panels, not the rings though. --BSonirachi (talk) 11:15, 13 March 2020 (EDT)

I fixed some problems on the maps. I ask you to check it again, maybe there are errors that we didn't found. Also, I uploaded some Sonic Advance 3 maps, please see it, too, and let me know about any errors. Maybe I don't know about all Special Stage keys. --G.E.R. (talk) 04:05, 18 March 2020 (EDT)

Good job on fixing up the issues on your maps. A number of them still have loose pixels and mis-ripped level tiles to clean up. Now, for your Advance 3 maps, I have some pointers for those:
  • The right wall by a water slide and a 5-Ring box halfway near the bottom of Sunset Hill 3 has a purple line, and there is a foreground issue by the loop to the left of it. - fixed
  • Some of the waterfalls in the Ocean Base maps are drawn a bit oddly in that the pixels don't line up well with each other. - fixed
  • Ocean Base 2 has a quarter-pipe on the right side of its map that has missing tiles. - fixed
  • The yellow strips on all the walls of Toy Kingdom are transparent when they aren't. They should be white. The same applies for some of the crystals and bridge frost in Twinkle Snow.
  • There are already maps of all the hubs and mini-game levels as you'll find on this page, all courtesy of me and even use the original Act Ring and capsule graphics, so there's no need to do those.
My advice for handling all those Special Keys is to scour the Acts as carefully as you can. Try to avoid picking up any of the keys, as picking one up will make all the other keys in an Act disappear, requiring you to die or exit the Act. A team suited for exploration, such as Knuckles & Tails, would help. Hope all this helps. --BSonirachi (talk) 12:29, 18 March 2020 (EDT)

Thank your for the help. I uploaded all missing maps and now I will begin to fix the errors and compressing by method that you showed on my talk page. SAdv3 map30.png and SAdv3 map40.png must be deleted, because all maps of the hubs is exist on the site. --G.E.R. (talk) 11:08, 19 March 2020 (EDT)

No problem, mate. Also, the grindrails and wall catapults in Twinkle Snow are also missing their whites. Be sure you check that other tiles and objects aren't missing any whites, too. Also, double-check to make sure you aren't missing any objects, as three Rings are missing on the top-most incline on the top route after the first checkpoint in Route 99 Act 1, and the same level has a missing horizontal spring. --BSonirachi (talk) 15:36, 19 March 2020 (EDT)

Sonic Mega Collection Plus/Hidden content

Hi, BSlyC here,

Thanks for the changes in buttons, I didn't know about templates yet!

No probs. There are lots of other templates you can find here if you're curious of what you can use. --BSonirachi (talk) 15:54, 28 March 2020 (EDT)

Thx, I will check that out!

Sonic's page

Sonic first appeared in an arcade game known as Rad Mobile, can you change first appearence section to say Rad Mobile instead of Sonic the Hedgehog (1991), Rad Mobile did predate Sonic the Hedgehog (1991) by like 4 months

In a sense, you are technically correct about Sonic appearing in Rad Mobile first (even Smash Bros. points that out in one of its loading screen tips!), but it's a cameo. Sonic 1 marked the first game with Sonic as a proper character.
I suppose it could be feasible to work in his cameo into the first appearance field as simply what it is, a cameo. Sonic 1 will be considered his first proper appearance. --BSonirachi (talk) 17:07, 12 July 2020 (EDT)

Sonic manga - page titles

I'm going to update/expand Sonic the Hedgehog (manga) and its related pages this week. Currently each issue uses the magazine as the page title, e.g. Shogaku Ninensei August 1992. This seemed right at the time, but in retrospect maybe Sonic the Hedgehog (Shogaku Ninensei) August 1992 might be more appropriate?

The text stories in Shogaku Yonensei are titled Sonic no Daibouken, rather than Sonic the Hedgehog, so for those ones maybe Sonic no Daibouken May 1992 or similar?

What do you reckon?

If so, I can update the omni, but won't be able to move existing pages.--Pecky (talk) 15:37, 23 October 2020 (EDT)

Being print media that is in Japanese only I don't really know that much about it. If the Sonic stories use such a title, then yeah, you could go for it. --BSonirachi (talk) 16:16, 24 October 2020 (EDT)
Cool. I'll make the appropriate updates to the omni tomorrow and let you know which pages need moving. --Pecky (talk) 18:37, 24 October 2020 (EDT)
Pages to be moved: Shogaku Ichinensei August 1992 to Sonic the Hedgehog (Shogaku Ichinensei) August 1992
Shogaku Ichinensei September 1992 to Sonic the Hedgehog (Shogaku Ichinensei) September 1992
Shogaku Ninensei April 1992 to Sonic the Hedgehog (Shogaku Ninensei) April 1992
Shogaku Ninensei May 1992 to Sonic the Hedgehog (Shogaku Ninensei) May 1992
Shogaku Ninensei August 1992 to Sonic the Hedgehog (Shogaku Ninensei) August 1992
Shogaku Rokunensei September 1992 to Sonic the Hedgehog (Shogaku Rokunensei) September 1992
Gekkan CoroCoro Comic Haruyasumi Zoukango 1993 to Sonic the Hedgehog (Gekkan CoroCoro Comic Haruyasumi Zoukango 1993)
Shogaku Yonensei May 1992 to Sonic no Daibouken May 1992
--Pecky (talk) 10:30, 25 October 2020 (EDT)
Having a think about this and talking with Black Squirrel, it might be best that we don't go through with this quite yet for future-proofing reasons. Our end goal is to have full scans of every issue of something we can get. We might cover the non-Sonic parts of the mangas one day, but not yet. Feel free to revert the changes to the omni. --BSonirachi (talk) 15:32, 25 October 2020 (EDT)
Got it. I've reverted the omni (with a few corrections). Would we want to categorise them under "Category:Sonic the Hedgehog (manga) issues" or (for example) "Category: Shogaku Ninensei issues" etc? Maybe both? (I'm guessing the "series" field on the Comic template will only pull one category, so a second category would have to be input separately.)
Should page scans be categorised as "Category:Sonic the Hedgehog (manga) scans", or use the magazine title? Should I use "Template:Comic" for each issue, or is there another Template I should be using? --Pecky (talk) 16:28, 25 October 2020 (EDT)
I suppose for the time being you could just use "Category:Sonic the Hedgehog (manga) issues" for the time being, and we'll work something out down the line. Same goes for the Comic template.--BSonirachi (talk) 16:43, 25 October 2020 (EDT)
Thanks! Is there a rule for when we should and shouldn't be using the "art" template for a comic image? For example, there doesn't appear to be a clear distinction between the "Artwork for Sonic the Comic" and "Sonic the Comic scans" Categories. Cover scans are exclusively under "scans" and original art is exclusively under "art", but single character images are a mixed bag. --Pecky (talk) 17:09, 25 October 2020 (EDT)
As far as I know, we've used the Art template for single-character images from the comics as, ideally, we would like full scans of issues at some point (hopefully better than all those old STC Arcive scans).--BSonirachi (talk) 17:29, 25 October 2020 (EDT)

Hey

who is this?--Sonicfan. (talk) 11:27, 29 October 2020 (EDT)Sonicfan.

Walmart arcade Sonic Heroes

Do you happen to know a copy of Heroes (similar to the retail, but the file selection screen replaced with vs. battle in which picking any side still takes you to the main menu as usual) that was playable in Walmart years ago? That version isn't documented, and it's not the demo/beta discs that were documented.--Crazy Muzzarino (talk) 15:35, 20 February 2021 (EST)

Oh, I don't know anything about that version of Heroes, sorry. I've not even heard of it until now. --BSonirachi (talk) 15:44, 20 February 2021 (EST)

Enemy affiliations

Just wondering how we want to manage these. For example, the Moto Bug page has "Eggman Empire" and "Deadly Six" affiliations, but they don't appear to be working correctly at the moment. I created game-specific pages for Moto Bug (Sonic the Hedgehog 16-bit) and Moto Bug (Sonic the Hedgehog 8-bit) a while ago. Would we want affiliations for game-specific enemy pages like those, or would that muck up any planned categories? I'm a bit hesitant to put "Eggman Empire", as I don't think that terminology existed in Sonic 1. Would "Dr. Eggman" be more appropriate? --Pecky (talk) 06:53, 21 February 2021 (EST)

To be honest, I'm not sure where else to take the affiliation field due to how the enemy pages as a whole have been going, particularly with Eggman's robots. I initially added the Deadly Six to designate which of Eggman's Badniks fell under their control during the events of Sonic Lost World, back before Black Squirrel automated things for the template, but never fixed that due to not being sure where else to go and didn't think that far ahead with it. --BSonirachi (talk) 11:49, 21 February 2021 (EST)
I've updated Moto Bug to a new format I think we could use going forward for multi-game enemies, similar to Green Hill Zone. Does this look okay? If so, I'll do this for the rest of the Sonic 1 enemies, then move forward with enemy pages for other games. I'll eventually remove "games" from the infobox, once the other Moto Bug pages are complete, so that enemies aren't duplicated in categories like "Sonic the Hedgehog (16-bit) enemies". I would have removed "Technical Information" and left it to the game-specific pages, but that would have orphaned the "Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (Nick Arcade prototype)" info.
Thanks for moving the S&K Mecha Sonic page! If it's no bother, could the same be done for Mecha Sonic (Death Egg Zone boss) and Mecha Sonic (Aerobase Zone boss)? Also, Turtloid should be Turtloids (plural). Thanks! --Pecky (talk) 12:07, 7 March 2021 (EST)
Yup, that format's looking good to me, and no probs! --BSonirachi (talk) 17:12, 7 March 2021 (EST)

Colors' World Map

A note to the particular Colors world map re-cap, the Wii version actually supports 4:3 through the console's settings from where you're thinking it was programmed to be for 16:9, that can also be set via Dolphin's Wii configuration.--Crazy Muzzarino (talk) 18:32, 22 July 2021 (EDT)

I had a check by running the game on the Wii itself, and it turns out you're right. Whoops. It was years since I last played Colours on a Wii, and misremembered that it was like games like New Super Mario Bros. Wii where it forced widescreen if the console is set to output 4:3. Though, the screenshot you uploaded was forcing a 4:3 aspect ratio when the game was configured to run at 16:9, which looks ugly.
Side note: The Wii's true resolution is 640x480 much like the GameCube, and like all "non-HD" systems uses anamorphic widescreen, which renders everything "thinner" and depends on the TV to correct the aspect ratio. --BSonirachi (talk) 20:38, 23 July 2021 (EDT)
That's an open matte screenshot, where the UIs, and the FOV are scaled to be taller than 16:9 display, rather than a zoomed in display you would normally see.--Crazy Muzzarino (talk) 19:31, 24 July 2021 (EDT)
I see. We request in our guidelines that all screenshots are uploaded at the correct screen resolution for the sake of accuracy on what a common end user would see, so I ask that you please refrain from using open matte hacks in your screenshots. --BSonirachi (talk) 12:53, 25 July 2021 (EDT)

Page moves

If you get the chance, would you be able to move a few pages for me?

Special Stage (Sonic Rush Adventure) to either Battle Race (as it's called in-game) or Johnny's Race (as it's called in the manual). We don't seem to have the Japanese manual, but in the JP strategy guide that section of the book is "vs ジョニー" (vs Johnny), with each race being "バトル1" (Battle 1), "バトル2" (Battle 2) etc.

Death Egg Robot to Death Egg Robot (Sonic Generations boss). I want to make Death Egg Robot into something similar to Green Hill Zone, since it's so frequently recurring.

Seaside Hill to Seaside Hill (Sonic Heroes), for the same reason.

I also wonder if it might be best to rename the Green Hill Zone page to Green Hill? My thinking is every Green Hill Zone is a Green Hill, but not every Green Hill is a Green Hill ZONE. It would also make it easier to set up Chemical Plant and Sky Sanctuary pages without having to reorganise.

Thanks! --Pecky (talk) 06:31, 29 July 2021 (EDT)

I've always been confused as to why the Johnny races in Sonic Rush Adventure were considered Special Stages to begin with since the only thing they have in common with Special Stages is winning Chaos Emeralds, and the speculation on the page weren't holding enough ground to justify it, so I've gone ahead and not only moved the page, but given it a rewrite. Consider the other proposals done as well. --BSonirachi (talk) 14:08, 29 July 2021 (EDT)
Yeah, I had to double check to see if they actually were called Special Stages anywhere, but they weren't. Thanks for the help! --Pecky (talk) 14:19, 29 July 2021 (EDT)

Hello

do i have to have permission to put my hacks?hack policy permission?

We only allow hacks to be uploaded on the wiki if they are of significant notability. Please read this page for more information.
If you want to show off your hacks then there are far better places to do that instead of here, like the "Engineering & Reverse Engineering" section of the forums. --BSonirachi (talk) 13:48, 14 March 2022 (EDT)

Userboxes?

Why does sonic retro does not have userboxes but every other wiki I'm in has them? Nathaniel (talk) 21:46, 29 May 2022 (EDT)

We don't have userboxes because technically we don't really need them and never really looked into having them. --BSonirachi (talk) 18:40, 30 May 2022 (EDT)

cancellated ports

I was curious where you guys stand on making a page for sonic cd on sonic mega collectgion, if that sounds good would it be ok to add a page for sonic eraser, that was also on one of the compilations.--MathUser2929 (talk) 17:00, 24 July 2022 (EDT)

It's pointless to make new pages for games that were intended to be on certain collections, plus the necessary information is most likely already covered elsewhere (e.g. Sonic Eraser's inclusion in Gems Collection is already documented on the hidden content page). --BSonirachi (talk) 17:06, 24 July 2022 (EDT)

EGMUS066.png SonicAdventure32x.png

How about these?

These are likely referring to Chaotix and are not different games.
Also, please stop treating the wiki as a personal file hosting service. Anything from a magazine like EGM will most certainly already exist on the CDN as a full scan. If you really need to host magazine clips somewhere, use imgur. --BSonirachi (talk) 12:39, 25 July 2022 (EDT)

Hey

Why did you block my friend CZ2746isback? He never usedthe wiki and his username is based off his scratch username. If there is another CZ2746 then that one is a fake. Appeals (talk) 09:23, 10 August 2022 (EDT)

CZ2746 was permanently blocked from the wiki two years ago for repeatedly making poor quality edits on both Sonic and Sega Retro as well as making alts to bypass a 1-week block. --BSonirachi (talk) 11:58, 10 August 2022 (EDT)
That CZ2746 is a fake! He pretended to be CZ2746isback! Appeals (talk) 14:00, 10 August 2022 (EDT)
It does make me question that if the previous CZ2746 is a fake, then why would CZ2746isback have "is back" in his username?
Unfortunately there's no way we can confirm whether the previous CZ2746 is fake or not, as CZ2746's edits are too far back for Checkuser to check the IP for and compare it to CZ2746isback. --BSonirachi (talk) 10:28, 11 August 2022 (EDT)
Can you just unban him please? I know this is not the same one because I saw his IP address for his normal account and wayyyyy back then I saw a different IP address. (i don't remember it though) Appeals (talk) 17:31, 11 August 2022 (EDT)
How did you even see his IP address? Check User can only be used by the staff. --BSonirachi (talk) 18:17, 11 August 2022 (EDT)
I was joking. But can you PLEASE give him a chance? If he does continue, then just reblock him. Appeals (talk) 14:51, 12 August 2022 (EDT)
After consulting the rest of the staff about this, it's been agreed that we shouldn't let him back in. Sorry.
I'll also part to you some friendly advice: Lying about something and then playing the "I was joking" card while making an appeal will not help your case. Keep that in mind in future. Cheers. --BSonirachi (talk) 08:13, 13 August 2022 (EDT)

Sonic Sports Basketball

Are you sure about calling it sonic sports? Sonic All Stars is printed all over the machine--MathUser2929 (talk) 11:53, 4 September 2022 (EDT)

The title "Sonic Sports Basketball" is printed on the sides of the cabinet, and we have a logo for it sourced from Sega Amusements. "Sonic Allstars" is the name of the series which even Sonic Sports Air Hockey is a part of. Did you not think to check there? --BSonirachi (talk) 11:57, 4 September 2022 (EDT)

I can't guarantee that I will get round to doing that - there's a lot of other tasks for me to carry out so I don't always have the time for everything. Plus at one point we may come up with a plan to automate character appearance lists when we figure out how.

That would ideally be a task for someone else with more time. I have other tasks to work on, and I don't always have time to do everything. --BSonirachi (talk) 15:03, 2 December 2022 (EST)

Sonic Adventure 2 (2012)

Can u please ad a padge for hidden content for sa2 2012 i want to find out the cheats code for that?? Ethan169 (talk) 15:25 13 December 2022

Can you please stop asking me to make pages for you? If you want a page to exist, create it yourself - it'll be cleaned up to make it more presentable in my own time. In fact, any user is encouraged to make pages themselves.
Additionally, please use proper English spelling and grammar. --BSonirachi (talk) 10:32, 13 December 2022 (EST)

Would the one that currently there for all Sonic Adventure 2 realise? Ethan169 (talk) 15:46, 13 December 2022 (EST)

No. That is for the original Dreamcast release. There's some Battle content on there that needs its own page. --BSonirachi (talk) 10:49, 13 December 2022 (EST)

If your doing battle/gamecube version why not 2012/xbox 360/ps3 version Ethan169 (talk) 15:56 13 December 2022 15:56 (EST)

Because I don't have time to fulfill every one of your page requests. Making a page for Battle was just to move information off the Dreamcast version's page. If you want to make the page, do it yourself. And work on your spelling/grammar. --BSonirachi (talk) 10:59, 13 December 2022 (EST)

Does this mean the battle version you created includes the xbox 360 version? Ethan169 (talk) 16:01 13 December 2022 (EST)

No. The 2012 version is titled either "Sonic Adventure 2" or "Sonic Adventure 2: Battle" depending on whether or not the Battle DLC is installed, so is treated as a separate release from the Dreamcast and GameCube releases. --BSonirachi (talk) 11:03, 13 December 2022 (EST)

I have one more thing to ask hie to u know i made multiple accounts? (Mistake I did) Ethan169 (talk) 16:06 13 December 2022 16:06 (EST)

Sysops have access to features that allow checking the IP addresses of user accounts. All your accounts came from the same IP address and all shared similar editing styles. --BSonirachi (talk) 11:09, 13 December 2022 (EST)

Can me please

appeal

Can I ask for an Appel to get unblocked my Old User is Ethan169 I Won't remove discontinued Games or ad Character Appearances again. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sonicthehedgehog101 (talkcontribs) 03:08, 30 May 2023‎ EST

Sorry, but appeal rejected. You had your chance to improve, and your spelling and grammar are still poor. --BSonirachi (talk) 08:03, 30 May 2023 (EDT)

I'm kinda confused

When you told me about the Sonic Triple Trouble screenshot thing and told me to use {{FanSS|Sonic Triple Trouble 16-bit}} in the summary from then on, I had no idea what it meant, or what to do when I'm screenshotting other games. So I thought you could help me with it because you told me about it. Can you inform me about what this is and how it works or something please? - Spacefruit (talk) 6/29/23 12:10 PM EDT I think

To put {{FanSS|Sonic Triple Trouble 16-bit}} is to tag the image with a template that informs users who click on the screenshot what it is, and also automatically categorises the screenshots under the necessary categories (in STT16's case, it will be auto-categorised under a category specifically for those screenshots). If users do not use the tags, then the screenshots will end up getting lost in Special:UncategorizedFiles, and another user (i.e. me) will have to dig through there and add the tags manually. Given how Sonic Retro, and by extension our other wikis like Sega Retro, have tens of thousands of images tagging is very important for maintenance.
We have a page that lists many of the possible image tags users can use as well as a further explanation, which you can find here. Once you learn which tags to use, the system becomes simple. Hope this helps clear things up! --BSonirachi (talk) 14:49, 29 June 2023 (EDT)

Hi, I am here to ask for to unblock ethan169. I have better grammar now and I won't removed discontinued games again. askingsorry (talk) 18:45, 4 July 2023 (EST)

Issues and questions

Hey, BSonirachi. You know how to fix this? [1](*) Also, can you please check this out: my item pages appear in the items category when I'm logged be I cannot see it in the public page, and I confirmed that when I go there logged out it is in fact not there. --SonicUnleashedPS2 (talk) 06:09, 26 January 2024 (EST) ---> Category:Items - you can confirm it still does not appear

(*)It was on the Gaia Gate's page all along! --SonicUnleashedPS2 (talk) 17:57, 31 January 2024 (EST)

First issue has been sorted. As for the second issue, the cache takes a long time to update for users who are not logged in. It's a known issue. --BSonirachi (talk) 17:58, 31 January 2024 (EST)
The problem is that the page was already created a week ago. It just feels odd given how fast all the other pages updated, even the files pages where I was having issues initially (you may remember). --SonicUnleashedPS2 (talk) 18:00, 31 January 2024 (EST)
I'm happy to tell the item finally appears in the public page of the Items Template! Took some weeks but at least got there. --SonicUnleashedPS2 (talk) 22:57, 13 February 2024 (EST)

Where can I see all media when I don't know exactly what to search (a page just with everything, where I can see stuff organized in tree/by categories, or even not organized if needed, but the generic page, not just subsections that don't show their path up) —Preceding unsigned comment added by SonicUnleashedPS2 (talkcontribs) 19:37, 31 January 2024 (EST)

Is this what you mean? Special:ListFiles
For files that aren't used on any pages, there's Special:UnusedFiles. --BSonirachi (talk) 19:45, 31 January 2024 (EST)

Why is the Hidden Treasure Ring page I've created LITERALLY CENSORED on Google. I'm not saying it was you, but this is UNBELIEVABLE. WTF, it was appearing as the top site for weeks now and it somewhere in time disappeared completely from the pages and images results!!! If I didn't use the page as a shortcut to Sonic Retro I would have not found this unforgivable thing. --SonicUnleashedPS2 (talk) 21:26, 13 February 2024 (EST)

The short answer is that Google's search algorithm is just a mess.
Also please order your comments in a consistent manner. Your last comment was placed underneath a completely unrelated comment and that makes no sense at all, so I had to move it. --BSonirachi (talk) 23:12, 13 February 2024 (EST)
It was actually behind the right comments, refering to the previous issue of the Items Template --SonicUnleashedPS2 (talk) 23:17, 13 February 2024 (EST)
Maybe it's worth to mention that I confirmed the other pages I created still appear as usual, also on the images results (well, at least for my devices, I hope this is not that famous - or rather infamous - shadowbanning that I know some companies like to use in the shadows, although if it's just Google censorship it is not really better, I'd rather this be a Sonic Retro issue to be easier to solve and less unfortunate). I have screenshots to prove how the page and images did appear before but I think no one wants me to upload such useless files, I just wanted to leave the reference. --SonicUnleashedPS2 (talk) 23:17, 13 February 2024 (EST)
Oh, right, I got a little confused. That's what being a night owl does to you, sorry about that.
The issue with Google is that most of its search results favour Fandom wikis more than other wikis. They'll also suppress other wikis from search results if they detect "duplicate content", which is a big reason why copying writing word-for-word between wikis is highly discouraged (plus it's plagiarism). And yeah, screenshots of how you think pages should look are outside our scope and shouldn't be uploaded here. We're not a file hosting service. --BSonirachi (talk) 23:29, 13 February 2024 (EST)
Well, thanks for telling me this is not a file hosting service, I sware I didn't know (forgive my irony). I know about the Fandom favouring thing (and it's nonsensical to me), but that plagiarism thing wouldn't even make sense, you know first hand my content is 100% original and that you can't find anything nearly as detailed or even existent in the web about most of the pages I've been creating, like the Secret Missions page and specially the Hidden Treasure Ring, which is actually my main personal achievement because the only thing about it on the hole internet was a low resolution art in a "Miscellaneous" section in the Fandom (and it was my first page on this community!), and you know how my main mission is to help expanding web knowledge on the overly unexplored PS2 version of Sonic Unleashed. One of the artworks of the Hidden Treasure Ring was even my own edit, and I didn't even bother to lend it free so much uncredited. I'm here to create content, but I'm sad that the content of my work was just erased ftom the people's search engines, that's all. I hope you understand what I mean, I'm also being a night owl at the moment so I should probably go to sleep. --SonicUnleashedPS2 (talk) 23:52, 13 February 2024 (EST)

How do I write [This], but This is also a internal link (so I want to use the sybols [ ] besides the link)? --SonicUnleashedPS2 (talk) 03:11, 15 February 2024 (EST)

Use the "nowiki" tags. For example, <nowiki>[</nowiki>. --BSonirachi (talk) 11:41, 15 February 2024 (EST)

New spamming/trolling/phishing users

Highly suspicious users User:NancyRoan7678 and User:MadieDelgado22 just created pages with descriptions that make absolutely no sense («Darlena is the place where I'm called although it's not the most feminine of names.» «The favorite hobby for my children and me is in order to cook and Let me never stop doing it's.» ???) and it seems like they just created the users to spread possibly harmful external links. --SonicUnleashedPS2 (talk) 21:01, 17 February 2024 (EST)

Another one: User:AnnieSawers4393, it's clearly a spamming/trolling/phishing scheme. (EDIT: Another brand new one: User:SamaraNewbold9) --SonicUnleashedPS2 (talk) 21:11, 17 February 2024 (EST)
BSonirachi, this is getting ill. More users were creating overnight! User:FrancineBaumgard‎ User:ScarlettColmener‎ User:ReyesWitherspoon User:VickiThompkins6‎. All the same, somebody must stop this before they do something worse or keep creating users. --SonicUnleashedPS2 (talk) 04:20, 18 February 2024 (EST)
They're all spambots, which have been a reoccurring problem for years, and this is the first time in a while that they've been especially aggressive. All of the ones you've brought up have been blocked, but more will keep on coming no matter what, so it's best to let us handle them ourselves. --BSonirachi (talk) 13:05, 18 February 2024 (EST)
Oh, I understand, next time I don't have to warn you here then. These guys are everywhere nowadays! But yes, it seems like a problem you can't easily prevent without placing a lot of restrictions to every other user or to new users, which some websites do and it's frustrating, that sometimes doesn't seem to compensate. I hope there weren't too many problems of people deleting/vandalizing pages, though. At least the spambots are relatively harmless. --SonicUnleashedPS2 (talk) 14:27, 18 February 2024 (EST)

"Dark Gaia Force" or "Red Orbs"?

Hi BSonirachi. I've been working arround on the wiki and planning my next page, but I'm undecided on the name because it changes somethings. Dark Gaia Force and Red Orbs. I believe they probably don't justify two different pages, but there should certainly be a page about this. Should I call it Dark Gaia Force and I'm talking about the energy itself converted from the Red Orbs, used to unlock new moves and upgrade the Werehog, should I call it Red Orb/Red Orbs, I'm talking about what you get in the levels, the item boxes, beating enemies, breaking jars, etc, a more item-wise perspective. Obviously I still mention both, but what should the page be "in the front page". The relevance of this? It changes the focus point, what I mention first, likely categories and how it fits into the wiki. I don't know how much do you know about the game I'm mostly working on, but I wanted to hear your suggestion on this. --SonicUnleashedPS2 (talk) 07:15, 21 February 2024 (EST)

It's been years since I last did a playthrough of the Wii/PS2 version, and after having a read through the manuals the Wii/PS2 version uses three types of "Orbs" besides the red ones, which include green and blue ones that fill the Life and Unleashed gauges respectively, though as you did mention the Orb Result screen calls the red orbs "Dark Gaia Force". And then you have the 360/PS3 version which also has Dark Gaia Force which solely fuels the Unleashed gauge. So, to cover both the Wii/PS2 and 360/PS3 versions, settle for "Dark Gaia Force". --BSonirachi (talk) 10:43, 21 February 2024 (EST)
I was actually thinking about placing the Blue Orbs in the Unleashed Mode page, that's why I didn't ask you about those. Also, they shouldn't be considered Dark Gaia Force (at least certainly in the PS2/Wii versions) as only Red Orbs convert into DGF in the Orb Result (1 Red Orb => 20 DFG). The same applies for Green Orbs, although I wasn't thinking about making a Green Orb's page at this moment. --SonicUnleashedPS2 (talk) 10:55, 21 February 2024 (EST)
The article is completed! I'm very satistied with my work, hope this wiki gets well served from it! Also, I had already to use the Template:Delete because when uploading some images I somehow left a duplicated ".png" on them, and also I already corrected things but I created an accidental "80px" page. Sorry for giving you extra work deleting stuff. --SonicUnleashedPS2 (talk) 15:00, 22 February 2024 (EST)

Add sprite files to gallery

Hi. How do I add sprites to this page's gallery? I cant use the files themselves, because this

<gallery>File:SonicR PC Sprite Items.png|crop_width=64|crop_x=64|5 Rings [[Item Panel]] from ''[[Sonic R]]''</gallery>

makes this

—Preceding unsigned comment added by SonicUnleashedPS2 (talkcontribs) 14:05, 21 March 2024 (EST)

Sprite images like that one are designed for use with Template:SpriteImage and thus don't lend themselves well to gallery tags. They will need to be formatted to use the template. --BSonirachi (talk) 14:17, 21 March 2024 (EDT)
So how do I format them to use the template?--SonicUnleashedPS2 (talk) 17:10, 21 March 2024 (EDT)
Looking at things I think a new template might be needed. You may be better asking Black Squirrel about this, as he might be able to make a gallery template for sprites. --BSonirachi (talk) 14:53, 22 March 2024 (EDT)
